課程概述

This is a course intended for students with basic knowledge of statistics, calculus, and ecology. We will discuss classic ecological theory as well as recent advance in the mathematical ecology. The topics may include:
Simple model, complex behavior
Species interaction and graphical analysis
Stability analysis
Invasion analysis
Multiple stable state
Stability and complexity of ecosystems
Metabolic theory
Size spectrum
Foodweb
Analysis of chaotic system
Stoichiometry
Abundance pattern

 The objectives are to provide students opportunities to understand recent advances in theoretical ecology

 Students will select a subject base on his/her own interest and present the progress of the chosen topic.
